 Hi Parents, Guardians and Community Members. My name is Marilyn Paul and I am the counselor at Colter Elementary School.

Services Offered Through the Counseling Office

 * Student Sign-Up for supportive counseling

*  Friendship Mediation

* Meetings with parents to discuss their child's academic, social and emotional well being. Parenting strategies.

* Teacher Consultation

* Classroom/Student Observations

* Short term Counseling Groups:  Anger management, handling stress, social skills, ADHD activity groups, etc.

*  Classroom Interventions and themed class meetings

* Kid Talk Team: support and referral for at risk students

* "Rainbow Groups": Activity/counseling groups to support children whose parents are separated, divorced or remarried.

*Help with referrals to community agencies and resources specializing in the support and treatment of children and families.

*Positive Behavioral Support Program (PBS): School wide program to promote behavior and academic skill building while providing positive recognition of students.
