Two well-known children's authors will visit Colter School in October, courtesy of the Teton County Library.
On Tuesday, October 6th, bilingual storyteller and author
Lucia Gonzalez will spin tales for our third grade students from 9-9:45. Ms. Gonzalez was born in Cuba, and grew up in Miami. Her books include "The Bossy Gallito" and "The Storyteller's Candle."
On Tuesday, October 20th, prolific children's novelist
Bill Wallace will visit with 4th and 5th grade students at Colter Elementary, Wilson School and the Journeys School. Mr. Wallace has written 30 books for children, his latest being "That Doggone Calf." After his presentation, the author will sign copies of his books for students who have purchased them.
Our author visits are hosted in collaboration with the Teton County Library, and help us to celebrate & promote literacy in our school.
