5th grade students and their teachers enjoy hands-on, outdoor learning experiences each fall. Students visit the Teton Science School for three days and two nights to learn about environments and landforms of the Jackson area. It costs $186, $93 paid by the parents, and the other half by the school district.
5th graders also have the opportunity to raft 13 miles from Wilson Bridge to South Park Bridge. They learn about the riparian environment, look for animals and their habitats, and discuss landforms on this trip.
